If you’re wondering how to register a hedgehog or a litter, then this topic will explain.

To start off, you need initials. If you already have those, great! You can list them directly into the application. If you don’t already have them, that’s okay too, it just takes a little longer to process the application as we have to find available initials for you that hopefully suit your herd name. Initials are essentially abbreviations that identify a breeder.

After you’ve applied for initials, you can start of registering hedgehogs/tenrecs and litters. You start off with registering your own hedgehogs/tenrecs that you breed with. Go to the menu and look for “register”. Hover over it, but don’t click it (option is disabled). This action will open a submenu. To register a hedgehog or tenrec click the “.. a hedgehog” option. This refers you to a page with a form to register a single pedigree. You can either manually fill out the form, or you can upload the full pedigree. You don’t have to do both, you can skip either of the two. After uploading or writing out the pedigree, please select a payment option and wait until the website refers you to the Paypal payment page. This does not apply to Premium Members, who can register an unlimited amount of animals without an added fee.

You simply list the father, mother and birthdate and fill out the form for the amount of hoglets that are born in the litter. You don’t have to fill out all 8 hoglets if there are only two hoglets in the litter for example. Please select a payment option and wait until the website refers you to the Paypal payment page. This does not apply to Premium Members, who can register an unlimited amount of animals without an added fee.

It can take up to 14 days for the registrations to be processed and the pedigrees and/or birth certificates to be sent to you.
